About the role

You will facilitate the dispatch process and coordinate ground operations to ensure effective and timely delivery of our customers’ goods. You will oversee warehouse operations, field operations, and vendor relations.

Your key responsibilities

  • Safeguard and maintain overall custody of goods and manage the regional store
  • Link with transporters to coordinate efficient and prompt dispatch of goods
  • Oversee offloading of trucks, verify goods and paperwork
  • Ensure all goods in your assigned lane/region are dispatched and delivered promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of all goods, dispatches, and returned goods
  • Continuously monitor the dispatch process, including exchanges and returns
  • Ensure transparency and visibility of the entire dispatch and return process
  • Maintain accurate records of all utilised trucks and their drivers
  • Ensure utilised trucks are in good condition
  • Collect, inspect, and send all paperwork to Senga as required
  • Verify, seal and promptly send returned goods to Senga
  • Report discrepancies noticed during and after offloading
  • Identify challenges, suggest and implement solutions to the overall dispatch process
  • Anticipate and report any challenges that may affect normal operations
  • Offer feedback to the company in other areas such as sales, or customer focus
  • Communicate effectively, efficiently, and promptly with team members

Your qualifications

  • Minimum of secondary school education
  • Valid BCE driver’s license
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Proficiency in English and Kiswahili
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good team player
  • High integrity

* Strong preference for candidates with supply chain, logistics, or warehouse experience

Physical demands & work environment

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays. Intermittent travel is required. This is a field operations role located in Mombasa.
