You will:
• Attend to assignments, evolving roles, duties and responsibilities as may be directed by Senga
• Assist with all accounting transactions, administrative tasks and reporting
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Assist with bank payments and reconciliations
• Track internal and external payments and expenses
• Prepare and issue invoices and approve payments
• Assist with end-of-month, quarterly and annual closing procedures
• Assist in computing taxes, prepare returns and statutory deductions
• Handle staff expenses, reimbursements and commissions
• Update financial data in our systems accurately as needed
• Respond to customer requests promptly
• Attend to any other duties as may be assigned by management
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with customers
• Cooperate with team members and all necessary departments
• Send daily work logs/reports to Management
• Meet key performance targets
University degree level education with up to 2 years’ work experience. Post-university study in finance or accounting required; CPAs preferred.
• Experience in a start-up is desirable
• Experience preparing financial ledgers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High integrity, dedicated, dynamic and ambitious
• High degree of professionalism and attention to detail
• Proficiency in account receivables
• Ability and desire to work both autonomously but also collaboratively
• Quick learner, good drive and team player
• Ability to build and manage effective relationships
• Strong computer skills and ability to produce documents to a good presentational level
Ability to withstand pressure and to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays. Intermittent travel is required.
